Performance, 2021
A group of performers slowly crawl in a natural landscape with their bodies close to the ground. In a slow-paced choreography, they enact fire-fighting techniques while pushing, digging and carrying each other's bodies in the space. The audience follows the piece along the way, crossing rocks, grass, soil and trees. Almost as a painting in motion, the content persists in one visual image: people investigating the land through their bodies. Referring to recent environmental accidents, the content could relate either to the imminence or the subsequence of a catastrophe, but it stays open to the viewer's interpretation.
