Galvanized steel pipes, needles, blood, ice
Solo exhibition @ Galleri Snerk, Tromsø, NO
The public is invited to take part on a survey about art, productivity and performance. The interview is held in a table where blood samples extracted from the artist's body are displayed. The talk gradually shifts from a casual statistical mapping of the viewer's productive life to a personal pact in which viewer and artist must end up with an exchange.
The installative space is composed by steel pipes that function as a complementary system to the architecture of the gallery. Very small syringe needles are balanced between the pipes, creating assymetries on scales and highlighting different forces - between action, liquids and materials - that could be sustaining the exhibition space.
